• X3 vs. S3: The Drag X3 provides up to 100W of power and uses external batteries, whereas the Drag S3 is capped at 60W with a built-in battery.
• X3 vs. X2: The X3 introduces the Capacitive Unlock Sensor, eliminating the need for manual button combinations to lock the device. It also supports 21700 batteries for longer life and higher wattage (the X2 was primarily 18650/80W).
• Charging Speed: The X3 features an upgraded 2.5A charging circuit, meaning even high-capacity 21700 batteries charge significantly faster when charged internally.

Pod & Coil Compatibility

The Drag X3 utilizes the PnP X platform, which has been physically redesigned to prevent any e-liquid from escaping the bottom of the pod.

Compatible Pods & Coils (YES):

• VOOPOO PnP X Pods: DTL version (included) and MTL version are both compatible.
• PnP X Coil Series: Fully compatible with all resistances. To utilize the 100W ceiling, the 0.15 $ \Omega $ PnP X coil is highly recommended for maximum vapor.

Incompatible Pods & Coils (NO):

• Original PnP Coils: These will not fit in the PnP X pods due to the dual-seal ring structure.
• TPP Coils: These have a different diameter and will not seat in the X3 bay.
• ITO / V.Thru Pods: Entirely different connection architecture.

Pro Tip: If you are using a 21700 battery, make sure the "Turbo Mode" is active in the menu. This allows the Gene.TT 2.0 chip to deliver a 25% faster ramp-up time on your first puff, providing instant vapor even at high wattages. If the capacitive sensor is too sensitive for your grip, you can switch it back to "Traditional Lock" in the system settings.

Display & Operation

The 0.96-inch screen provides a clear read-out of your wattage, voltage, puff duration, and a real-time battery meter. The Gene.TT 2.0 chip features four distinct modes:

• Smart Mode: Automatically caps wattage to protect your coil from burning.
• RBA Mode: Full manual control up to 100W.

Hardware Maintenance

Since the X3 uses an external battery, regularly inspect your battery wraps for any tears or nicks; never use a battery with a damaged wrap. Although the PnP X pods are top-airflow and highly leak-resistant, minor condensation can still occur in the bay during high-wattage use wipe the contact pins weekly with a dry tissue. For the best longevity, use an external battery charger, though the 2.5A internal Type-C port is safe for emergency or travel charging.
