Pod & Coil Compatibility

The IPX 80 kit is designed to be highly adaptable. While it comes standard with the RPM 2 Pod, it can also support the original RPM coil series with an optional RPM empty pod (sold separately).

Compatible Pods (YES):

• SMOK IPX 80 RPM 2 Pods (CRC): Native compatibility. Uses the high-performance RPM 2 coil series.
• SMOK IPX 80 RPM Pods (CRC): Compatible for users who prefer the original RPM coil series (requires the RPM version of the IPX pod).

Incompatible Pods (NO):

• SMOK Nord / Novo Pods: These series are physically incompatible.
• SMOK RPM 3 / RPM 5 Pods: Newer RPM generations do not fit the IPX 80 chassis.
• SMOK Arco / Novo 5 Pods: Completely different connection architectures.

Pro Tip: To find your "sweet spot," try adjusting both airflow dials simultaneously. For a tight MTL draw, close both dials nearly completely and set your wattage between 12W and 20W. For massive clouds (DTL), open both dials fully and push the wattage to 40W+ using the 0.16 ohm RPM 2 coil.

Display & Safety Features

The 0.96-inch screen provides a comprehensive overview of your vaping data, including battery level, current wattage, voltage, ohm resistance ($ \Omega $), and a puff counter. The IPX 80 also includes a suite of safety protections:

• Lithium Battery Protection: Prevents overcharging and deep discharge.
• Atomizer Detection: Recognizes the coil resistance and adjusts limits accordingly.
• 8-Second Cut-off: Prevents accidental firing in pockets or bags.
• Short Circuit Protection: Immediate power cut if a fault is detected.

Hardware Maintenance

While the IPX 80 is IP67-rated, it is best practice to keep the charging port silicone plug tightly sealed when not in use to maintain its water resistance. Periodically check the gold-plated contact pins inside the device for condensation and wipe them with a dry cloth. To maintain the 3000mAh battery's health, use the provided Type-C cable and avoid leaving the device in high-temperature environments (like a hot car).
