Hardware Compatibility Cross-Reference

The original RPM coil series is one of SMOK's most widely adopted formats. However, many SMOK devices include multiple pod types in the box. You must ensure you are inserting these coils into the pod specifically labeled for "RPM" coils.

Compatible Devices (YES):

• SMOK Nord 4: Only when using the specific Nord 4 RPM Pod.
• SMOK Nord X: Only when using the specific Nord X RPM Pod.
• SMOK Nord 2: Only when using the specific Nord 2 RPM Pod.
• SMOK IPX 80: Only when using the specific IPX 80 RPM Pod.
• SMOK RPM40 / RPM80 / RPM80 Pro: Only when using the specific RPM Pod.
• SMOK Thallo / Thallo S: Only when using the specific Thallo RPM Pod.
• SMOK Scar-P3 / Scar-P5: Only when using the specific Scar RPM Pod.
• SMOK Pozz X / Alike / RPM Lite: Fully compatible with native pods.

Incompatible Devices (NO):

• SMOK Nord 5 / RPM 5 / RPM 5 Pro: These devices require the newer RPM 3 coil series.
• RPM 2 Pods: These coils are physically smaller and will not fit into pods designed for RPM 2 coils.
• LP1 & LP2 Devices: Completely incompatible architectures (e.g., RPM 4 LP2 Pod, Novo 4).
• Original Nord / Novo Devices: Do not fit the original Nord pods or closed Novo pods.

Pro Tip: To identify if your pod accepts these coils, check the silicone fill plug. The compatible pod will typically have "RPM" printed on the rubber stopper. The original RPM coil features a smaller, circular wicking port compared to the larger oval ports found on the RPM 2.

Resistance Profile

• 0.4 ohm Meshed Coil (Best at 25W): Optimized for a Restricted Direct-to-Lung (RDL) draw. The mesh interior maximizes surface area for rapid heating, delivering excellent flavor accuracy and moderate cloud production. Best suited for standard freebase e-liquids (0mg - 12mg) or lower-strength nicotine salts.

Usage & Maintenance

Install the coil by aligning it with the circular opening at the base of your RPM pod and pressing it firmly into the chamber. Ensure the base of the coil sits completely flush with the bottom of the pod to ensure a proper electrical connection and to maintain the internal vacuum seal. Coils should be replaced when vapor production noticeably decreases, the draw feels obstructed, or a burnt taste is detected.

Important: Always let a new coil prime before firing. After installing the new coil and filling the pod with e-liquid, let the pod sit for 5 to 10 minutes. This ensures the organic cotton is completely saturated and prevents premature burning of the mesh element.
